Muharrem Balat, Honorary President of MB Holding, which introduced geothermal energy to Croatia, attended the Republic Day Reception, Croatia’s official day, upon the special invitation of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.
A reception hosted by the President of Croatia was held last week for Republic Day. Muharrem Balat, Honorary Chairman of MB Holding, which launched Croatia’s first geothermal power plant and introduced the country to geothermal energy, attended the reception as a special guest of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović. Balat emphasized the importance of a country’s independence for national unity and solidarity, saying, “A country’s Republic, in today’s world, forms the cornerstone of elevating society to higher levels, while also enabling us to closely follow and accurately analyze global changes and developments. As Muharrem Balat, Republic Day has been among the holidays I’ve valued since childhood. Every country’s Republic speaks a single language and has a single meaning. It’s very precious for me to be able to feel the spirit of national struggle on this special day, which is so important for Croatia. I would also like to underline that the most fundamental principles that sustain and shape society are national and spiritual values.” In this sense, he noted the very good level of relations between Türkiye and Croatia and assessed the relations between the two countries as strong. Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic expressed her delight at this participation and expressed her gratitude to MB Holding Honorary President Muharrem Balat.
Balat expressed his gratitude to Kitarovic for his sensitivity on this matter and for hosting this important day, and expressed his pleasure at being a part of the event.
The reception concluded after the speeches and photos.
